KXU-ROX : HYROX CLASS

HYROX is the biggest world series of fitness racing, and after its inception in 2017, it launched in the UK in 2021, sweeping the nation. Classes are designed to help you improve your performance in a HYROX event, or simply help you improve your overall fitness.

The classes are divided into two components – running and strength stations, to mimic the actual event. Each class focuses on 4 out of the 8 stations, alternating between the remaining 4 stations each session.

The stations include ; Ski Erg, Sled Push, Sled Pull, Burpee Broad Jumps, Rowing, Farmers Carry, Sandbag Lunges and Wall Balls.

All abilities are welcome to give their all in this mixed modality class.

HIIT & RUN

HIIT & RUN IS AN ADRENALINE-INDUCING WORKOUT WHICH IS SPLIT BETWEEN TIME ON THE TREADMILL AND FLOOR WORK.

HIIT & RUN is an adrenaline-inducing workout which is split between time on the treadmill and floor work.

On the tread expect to work on intervals, sprints, inclines and more. Whether U are a long-distance runner or a gentle jogger, U will be pushed to reach your full potential. Floor-work incorporates bodyweight drills as well as weighted exercises. All designed to improve your ability to run further, faster and stay injury free. Sounds like hard work right? Well, it is. BUT our talented team put on a show, using amazing music and lighting to keep U motivated every step of the way.

THRESHOLD

THRESHOLD IS DESIGNED TO PUSH YOU (ALMOST) TO YOUR MAX AND HELP YOU BREAK THROUGH YOUR LIMITS, WORKING WITHIN 80 – 90% OF YOUR MAXIMUM HEART RATE FOR EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME.

Our newest class concept is designed to utilise the principles of threshold training as part of a structured weekly programme here at KXU.

Using ski-ergs, assault bikes and bodyweight, Threshold will push you (almost) to your max as you work within 80-90% of your max heart rate for extended periods of time.

Designed with a structured weekly training programme in mind, alternate between Evolve and Threshold across the week to get mentally stronger, physically fitter and become the best possible version of U.
